About what? Spike still has a role on this team. It's not a game by game determination. PJ, Cline, and Mathias played great today and they didn't need him as much. That's fine but we know that there will be peaks and valleys for all the players throughout the season. Just because he wasn't needed as much today doesn't mean he won't.

Spike and Basil both did fine with their limited minutes today. I'm good with that. I think it was instructive to all of us to see who was on the court for the last 10 minutes of the game today. That's the critical rotation CMP will be using for the balance of the year. Spike and Basil will both still got a shot this year. But can anyone complain about how CMP played his hand today?

I didn't think Basil was fine. Hayes beat him like a drum. His quickness is gone. Hoped he would have the role of lockdown defender off the bench with his athleticism, but he's just not in game shape in my opinion.

Completely disagree with Basil and Spike. They need expanded roles. This game was awful to watch the last ten minutes. Purdue needed a spark from Basil. Need to cut minutes of Cline, PJ, and Haas. Cline is one dimensional. PJ struggles bringing up the ball against one guy. PJ did hit a big shot tonight but I still don't like him playing so many minutes.

Cline - one dimensional? Did you see him grab several rebounds? Did you see him drive to the basket several times? What else would you like him to do.

PJ struggles? Lowest turnover to assist ratio in the country. 1 TO tonight. Played great defense.

I like Basil's spark, but did you see him get beat for easy layups by Hayes?

Spike? I like Spike, but he was very tentative tonight, he's not completely BACK yet (pun intended), but we'll need his leadership.

Painter didn't change have to change his lineup and put Carsen and Vince in because Wisconsin was not beating Purdue with drives from the perimeter and the P.J., Dakota, Ryan, Caleb, and Isaac lineup never went cold in the final 4-8 minutes. Sometimes they will, but they didn't today.

Maybe you should talk about the OSU/Minny games not the Wisky one. If you looked at the time posted you'd notice that i posted a review of the those games not the Wisky one. Cline has shot 54 3's to 13 2's on the season… thats pretty one dimensional. PJ can barely break a press and just because he doesn't turn the ball over doesn't make it any less true. If you watched the Minnesota game PJ got 31 points dropped on him. Basil definitely deserves more than 5 minutes a game. He fuels this team a lot of times so I don't know why he is glued to the bench. Spike deserves some more minutes as well.

Mason didn't score all his points on PJ. I remember 2 of his 3 pointers were specifically on Carsen.
