Watching this IU/WKU game

IU is not very good.

Without his mobility, Penix is a very average QB. Any decent pass rush will put them in a world of hurt.

They're really struggling to stay in the lead against a very mediocre WKU team.

They'll likely grind out this one, but I can't see a very optimistic season for them.

The OL has actually substantially improved since the Iowa game. Overall, the OL has been trending down the last 3 or 4 years.

Their QB looked more comfortable yesterday so they will score more points. The problem is their future opponents look better now than they did in July.

That's interesting. I thought I heard/read that Cronk transferred because the OL was so much better.

The Western Kentucky QB leads the nation in passing and has done it against power five teams in the past. He's a legit qb, and they're a legit passing team.

They lost their excellent OL Coach a few years ago and have trended down since.

The OL has been better since then and was pretty good against WKU. IU ran for 134 yards and Penix threw for 373. Now some of that is because it was WKU but much of it was because the O-line played well.

IU's defense was the far bigger concern in that game, struggling with WKU's tempo and quick passing game.

Unless they win, in which case they will be 3-2. A night game at PSU is not an easy challenge but the IU-PSU games the last few years have been very competitive. We'll see if IU is up to it.

Especially when the refs give them a free 2 point conversion and replay doesn't have the stonies to make it right! I hope that Penn State makes it more than right.
