In a now locked thread I posted a sarcastic comment about requiring a voter literacy test in response to someone who was basically suggesting that. Since I can't respond to that thread now I would like to post the following in response to the folks asking:
1. Yes, it was posted sarcastically (@CardinalBoiler)
2. Yes, I am the historically literate enough to understand the joke I was making, thus the use of the term "voter literacy test". (@ComradeRedBoilermaker)
3. Yes, I know it was used for voter suppression (@twilson50)
4. I am dismayed that 5 people (likely in a serious manner) liked my joke post.
