VB Commitment?

Question. Did Purdue get a commitment from a very high ranked volleyball player who was committed to IU? Hard to believe IU could get a committment from a very highly ranked player.
If so, who is it and what is she ranked and position Thanks for any info

Yes - we flipped a 2025 IU commit last weekend. Her name is Aniyah Warren from Illinois (Chicago area). She is a highly ranked libero - believe she was picked as an Under Armor All American this year. Good get for the program - always love stealing from the Hoosiers.

I mean they don't grow 6'5 6'6 6'7 girls on trees... and the majority that are that tall choose to play basketball... or go to Wisconsin, unfortunately.

Obviously, I understand that . It is just a wish so that we could beat Wisconsin for once. Have never seen what is the great attraction to the Wisconsin coach that brings those girls to him.

Purdue just beat Wisconsin last season without the height you’re mentioning. You don’t need 6’4+ players do that, there’s a lot more to volleyball than height.

Wisconsin is an attractive school with their success. Winning a national championship will bring recruits to you naturally.

Certainly you can beat them as you said, but it is a lot easier if you have tall ladies who are just as good if not better than shorter ones. MY question is what brought these great players to Wisconsin when there coach was hired and before they won a national championship. WHat was his great draw?

Purdue up to 8th in the college poll, on the downside they’re #20 in the RPI. Just keep winning and things will work out as far as hosting the first two rounds.
