I’ll go one farther for you and it’s certainly not an anti-Trump take: these statements about the US militarily invading Gaza are not just Trump talking out of his ass.
They clearly have been vetted and coordinated with Israel, with the belief that the hostages aren’t being released to their satisfaction, they think they can eliminate Hamas entirely, or other factors we don’t know about. The danger is reigniting the war over a game of chicken with terrorists. Netanyahu and Trump are working this together and spent the end of last week in the same room.
Hamas is a guerilla organization, like the Viet Cong or the Taliban. There is no standing Hamas Army. Hamas and the "people of Gaza" are one in the same. The Hamas terrorists are farmers and laborers and shopkeepers who go jihad to kill infidels when ordered to do so. Those people of Gaza are not ‘innocent civilians’. They are Hamas terrorists and their enablers.
