I’m upset by getting beat by a 16th, 15th, 13th seed in recent history. That just shouldn’t happen this often.

Looking at your posting history you complained about ....

The lack of athleticism and choke jobs way back in 2018.

Long term problems.

Carsen & Ivey changed that a bit as well as a few other guys.

Hopefully, Smith to some degree, TKR, Colvin & Heide change it for the better again? Nice to have these athletic guys at all 5 positions imo.

To my knowledge, losing to 16th, 15th and 13th seeds in a 3-year span has happened only once.

How about this? Painter coaches the team into February, then brings in a more experienced, successful/flexible to the opponent/situation coach to assist or even take over.

Not to sure about that. I think it’s more how the team is constructed. More athletic players are needed for a run in March Madness.

It’s more the way B10 teams are built. Lot of slow, unathletic big men doing MMA in the post. Not a lot of guard oriented teams with athletes to create and run.

Seems like we are seeing a "No-Shit" demonstration of the "luck-factor" in the NCAA's. Amazing to me that none of the top 10 teams in the country made it into the Final Four. No 1's, no 2's, and no 3's. Either the records of these teams were lies, or the polls & stats were so far wrong that nobody knew who was good, or... just maybe... luck has a significant influence on who wins the tourney. Something I am absolutely convinced of myself.

Yes sir, one and done, who’s hot/who’s not…… however PU needs to make a little more of their own luck to at least make it a little deeper in the crap shoot

Yeah, but we are Purdue. A BB program with a passionate fan base, history, tradition, basketball crazy state, a member of a power-5 conference, on television a lot (B1G network), etc, etc.
You cant expect any coach to come in and take over and use the description I used above as a "selling point" to 'consistently recruit' (emphasis added) athletic guards. Those type of players prefer mid majors and low majors.

BTW, if I need coached/critiqued on sarcasm, let me know. I try...........
