As a retired public educator I find the need to even write this piece to be bizarre.

Parents told Fox News they have an important role in their children's education, especially during the pandemic.

Of course parent play a major role in the education of their children. Why wouldn't they?

Of course parent play a major role in the education of their children. Why wouldn't they?

Of course they should play a major role. I do think it slipped for a while then Covid happened then parents became more aware of what was going on inside the classroom. Remote learning, making kids wear masks if they go to class and the finding out what some of the schoolboards are trying to push have made them realize they need to have a stronger voice in what's going on.
