Today is signing day. I was thinking that these kids don't know what they are getting themselves into.

*They will be playing for a lousy coach who wont be around much longer
*be playing mostly in front of an empty stadium
*will win only 2 or 3 games a year
*they will get early opportunity to play because the talent level isn't very good
*playing for an A.D. that doesn't put football at the top of his list

Did I miss anything?

You didn't miss anything, though you probably grossly overestimated the win projection!

"These kids don't know what they are getting themselves into....

nope....they think playing at Purdue is a little better than playing for a Div. II or Div. III team (or no scholarship at all)...at least they'll be on TV a few times a year.

As Purdue fans we could only hope that the incoming recruits are unaware of the true state of the program.. But much more likely they are coming into the situation with eyes wide open knowing all these things and more. AND THEY ARE FINE WITH IT. I fear the next coach is going to have his work cut out for him and may need to do a lot of house cleaning to instill a winning mentality.

The only way things will start going back up is when Burke and Hazell are both gone. We will be a below average team till then.
