The uniforms of our troops will no longer be soiled and desecrated by transgender freaks.

Imagine dedicated troops being forced to live and work with one of these ghoulish transgender creatures. It makes my skin crawl.
Similar things were said about blacks and women too. Hell you probably said it.

Thankfully, before too long, narrow minded Neanderthals like you that are actually proud of their ignorance will die off.

Actually we Neanderthals won the last election and the woke are dying off. That race card you played doesn't work anymore.

This is a nasty take. No reason for it to be that harsh.
At this point upwards of 80% of our population side more with Riley Gaines and supporters of trans ideology are becoming increasingly isolated on their extremist island. Having said that, the only people who deserve such harsh sentiment are the promoters of the ideology who convinced children that society will soon learn to disregard sex, and made kids feel it was an acceptable choice. This was naive, as there’s no excuse for them not realizing society is not that gullible.

At this point trans ideology is on the permanent outs. It will be out of the NCAA this year and out of the next olympics. And these movements are popular domestically and internationally. As trump said we dont have to worry about it coming back because its the least popular dem policy, and if they don’t drop it from their platform it won’t matter because they won’t win any more elections carrying such baggage anyway.

A much more appropriate approach would be for Hegseth to have stated his appreciation for all individuals who choose to serve, and simply say that they must serve on a unit with their corresponding biological sex as has always been the case (immutable, identified at birth or through the presence/absence of a Y-chromosome DNA plan).

All people are equal in our society. Blacks, women, gays, lesbians all of them should be same-same in our armed forces. But our government has no obligation to accommodate them. The Army should not celebrate BLM, nor Gay Pride Month, nor fly the Stars and Bars on military bases on Robert E. Lee's birthday.

Transgenders want special accommodations. They want to play on the wrong sports teams, use the wrong restrooms and get Frankenstein surgery on their genitals in military hospitals.

If I identify as equine, I am free in America to eat oats and hay, swish my tail and gallop as I wish. But I don't have the right to run in the Kentucky Derby.

So why not offer them that opportunity without pretending to believe in the ideology and without continued supplements and procedures? Might get a few takers. I’d imagine a lot are re-evaluating life choices and who to put their trust in. Certainly, some will feel let down by people they formerly trusted.

It’s a bad look (OP and Hegseth) to appear hateful like that.

A friend of mine’s family member has that feeling. After a double-masectomy and permanently body-wrecking hormones/blockers/whatever (i don’t know med details) she later at age 16 realized she was female after all. After realizing she had become a disfigured, life-long medical patient with permanent damage she felt led astray by her parents and now lives with grandparents. She will never be counted among the common “detransitioner” metrics because such people do not usually report their change in identity to the service providers who “transitioned” them - they just stop going.

These folks need society to not be Richards to them. And even if they don’t change their self opinion but stay in the armed forces - butch ladies in a ladies’ unit, effeminate guys in the mens unit - if they’re strong enough and capable enough and mission-focused then they belong, would you not agree?

Assume you're a soldier that is going to fly with your platoon on a combat mission on a Black Hawk. Do you want the pilot to be some brain-addled transgender freak with a lifelong simmering loathing for straight people?

I would think anything that could cause moral loss could be detrimental, but I'll defer to those that have actually been there. I know a few and they don't want trannies in the military. Many years ago while tailgating at a ND football game I was talking to a general that had just retired and told me many others were considering the same thing. I know it had something to do with Obama, but can't recall anything specific. Are you aware of any specifics?

It's the same issues that you have with "transgender women" on girls' sports teams, using women's locker rooms, bathrooms, etc, except far worse because they actually live together 24/7. The Army barracks that we had in Vicenza, Italy had four soldiers per room. Does the transgender woman share a room with three other female soldiers? Men’s and women’s latrines . . . . . ??? There are different height, weight and Physical Training standards (push-ups, 2-mile run, etc.) for men and women. Which apply?

I meant are you aware of any specifics under Obama that might make many retire? I don't know if it was true, but a general specifically told me others were going to retire then as well

Frankly, I think that's BS. I know a lot of officers who retired for self-proclaimed holistic reasons but the real reason was that they had been passed over for promotion or that they had a nice job offer from the private sector or they were tired of the grind and wanted to spend their days fishing. At the same time there were many who were totally fed up with DEI or pregnant female soldiers or whatever, but few if any retired for those reasons alone.
