Be curious to see Mock’s time. I know he is a walkon but seems to be one of the fastest players on the fieldAny stats on the 40 times for our incoming recruits, running back, receivers, defensise back?
Probably also have booths set up for signing NIL deals. It would be kind of fun to have something similar to the NFL combine for college recruits and open it up to anyone in the top 500. Maybe spring of Junior year? BTN should look into this. You could also do a transfer portal combine.
He better be real fast for as small as he is.Is he as fast as TY?
4.50-4.55 40. Burks is the fastest guy on the team.Be curious to see Mock’s time. I know he is a walkon but seems to be one of the fastest players on the field
He just needs to run great routes, get open and catch the ball.He better be real fast for as small as he is.
20 years ago. Big ten has gotten far more athleticHe just needs to run great routes, get open and catch the ball.
Taylor Stubblefield was similar size and ran a 4.75, yet had a record-setting college career and more.
He also had Orton throwing to him. Helps.20 years ago. Big ten has gotten far more athletic
"far more"20 years ago. Big ten has gotten far more athletic
Stubblefield led the team in receptions as a Freshman. He also had Orton throwing to him. Helps.
Redshirt freshman.Stubblefield led the team in receptions as a Freshman.
Orton played in 6 games that year.
Look at the level of play at LB and CB league wide. Far superior to 2002."far more"
No doubt, the league is "more athletic", however we can measure that.
You're probably right. That likely explains why we have two walk on players contributing at skill positions (not talking QB), as well as mid-major transfers making monumental contributions, and we're making a run for the B1G championship game.
As a reminder, Broc Thompson (transfer from Marshall) completely dismantled Tennessee on not one but TWO bum knees. That's a Tennessee team that just knocked off Alabama, and is currently #3 and in the conversation for a national championship.
They are (and were last year) pretty "athletic".
(Edit: and, these guys don't have Orton throwing to them. )
Run great routes, get open and catch the ball, and you'll be a very, very good B1G WR.
okay. He still led the team, and it wasn't due to Orton. They were both FR (eligibility) that year.Redshirt freshman.
Yet, my point remains: run great routes, get open and catch the ball, and you'll be a very, very good B1G WR.Look at the level of play at LB and CB league wide. Far superior to 2002.
walk ons have nothing to do with that.
Yes you will. Not as easy for someone with 4.8 speed anymoreYet, my point remains: run great routes, get open and catch the ball, and you'll be a very, very good B1G WR.
I don't think Stubblefield would tell you it was .... "easy".Yes you will. Not as easy for someone with 4.8 speed anymore
He’s only a sophomore. He better be real fast for as small as he is.
Did I say it wasI don't think Stubblefield would tell you it was .... "easy".
ok but the point was made about a record setting career, not freshman year.Stubblefield led the team in receptions as a Freshman.
Orton played in 6 games that year.
To be fair, Tennessee was playing 2 wide receivers at defensive back positions. Kudos to Broc for playing thru his injury. He's a warrior. But to say last year's Tennessee team is the same as this year's is a bit disingenuous..."far more"

How many starters were we missing? Bell, George, quite a few others……To be fair, Tennessee was playing 2 wide receivers at defensive back positions. Kudos to Broc for playing thru his injury. He's a warrior. But to say last year's Tennessee team is the same as this year's is a bit disingenuous...
I don't think I'd argue that. Nor would anyone else. My point was that the Tennessee team we saw last year is not the same as the one we're seeing this year. Like I said, Broc had a fantastic performance in the bowl game. But Tennessee was down several players in their secondary. How many starters were we missing? Bell, George, quite a few others……
That’s true, but it’s not like he has the genes to get much bigger. He’s only a sophomore.
correct, and the point remains, since TS was killing it as a FR when Orton barely played, his performance wasn't dependent on Orton as QBok but the point was made about a record setting career, not freshman year.
now... since when was this forum about being "fair"To be fair, Tennessee was playing 2 wide receivers at defensive back positions. Kudos to Broc for playing thru his injury. He's a warrior. But to say last year's Tennessee team is the same as this year's is a bit disingenuous...
agreed... he's not likely to get much bigger. Dad was a burner, though. That’s true, but it’s not like he has the genes to get much bigger.
Nice to see Brohm get involved with a sophomore. Makes me think he wants to be here for awhile.
He not the fastest on the our team.Be curious to see Mock’s time. I know he is a walkon but seems to be one of the fastest players on the field
