Tennessee v. Purdue Game Thread (Battle 4 Atlantis - Bahamas)

C-Boogie.....he's learning.....still "hunting" every now and then, as Coach Painter would say. Love Rob Hummel's reference to miss 10-in-a-row but no. 11 is going down.

Carsen Edwards is also more dialed-in defensively, IMO....not just effort....but doing more what he needs to be more effective.

Again, the need for Purdue to find a better medium instead of big swings of good play coupled with stretches of bad play is what we saw against Marquette. If Purdue just doesn't have the valleys in the first half, Purdue likely has a 15 point first half lead right now.

This is one of those games I warned about with Carsen getting 50 shots and Isaac getting 5. We should be up by 15 at least by now.

We are definitely not top 10 Not Top 15 either rebounding is going to be a very big issue for this team luckily the big Ten's got a bunch of high school teams in it this year

Michigan State and Minnesota definitely is the cream of the crop in the Big Ten this year it will be a battle between those two teams to win the Big Ten.

How many offensive rebounds? 20? Try a damn zone. That's what you do as a coach. If something isn't working you try something else. Painter is pathetic. I hope Grady starts the 2nd half.

Hopefully, they just burned all their energy in that comeback and come out flat in 2nd - then don't have energy for another.

As deep as they are not sure they're going to be worn out....Think we need to be the ones to adjust and find a way to play our game...somehow.

well...that was a really bad half. Let's just jack 3s and never rebound.

And I know I'm going to be called a troll for saying that but I'm just being realistic that's the only way I know how to be

Didn't see enough leadership down the stretch in the 1st half there. Guys looked tight and weren't playing with confidence. Need leaders to step up in 2nd half.

Volunteers really clogged the lane and made it tough on Haarms and Haas. Athletic team giving us fits again. Fortunately Purdue's defense was good too and forced Tennessee to shoot some low percentage shots. But they did a great job of crashing the boards. Good battle. Hopefully we make adjustments and get untracked on offense.

Painter better make the necessary adjustments at half...and the players need to find the energy to compete. No way they should be out hustled...
