Tayson Parker

I get what your saying but my point was that Kyle Macy shot a lot in high school but he ended up being a good college player who didn't always shoot a lot then. I think he averaged like 44 points a game his senior high school year. Just because a player seems to shoot " too much" in high school doesn't always mean the same in college. That's all.
No, I'm telling you he left Purdue with Parkinson coming back with Jordan, Walls and Parker there...there wasn't going to be enough basketballs left for him...his story not mine

Jerry Schisting was in the same class.

My sister was at Purdue at the time and told me that Macy had trouble scoring off the court.

I was also in school at that time. the worst thing for Purdue was Parkinson coming back fro m being injured. because the team had developed a different style of basketball, and already had its players in place. they had a nice backcourt of Macy and Parker with Sichting backing them up. and then Parkininson returned and the coach felt obligated to at least give him some quality minutes. Before his injury, Parkinson had his own visions of being an NBA player. When he returned , he returned with that goal, but quickly realized his role had changed. At that time a 3 guard offense for Purdue was kind of unheard of. And we already had Jordan at SF and Walls at PF and Joe Barry Carrol.

And the coach wanted Macy to come off the bench. I could see a backcourt of Macy and Sighting being a great backcourt. Their skills complement each other. But Macy was smart enough to realize having 4 guards wasn't going to work. There were grumblings the year before that Parker was taking too many long distance shots and passing up Macy in favor of giving the ball to Jordan to create. We had a lot of talent, but that talent was not very team oriented.

Sichting and Joe Barry were in a history class that I was taking, the Prof's name was Mr. Collins from the Boston area. He always got irritated when the students didn't get quiet at start of class and had a problem w/ tardiness. One time a football player , named Benny Leverett came in late on crutches and he had some comments on that.
