Idiotic? Lets see them facts you said you were displaying bro. Still waiting.Who's arguing? The responses were idiotic, I'm letting it die down (felt like had been dead forever), now you want to spark it up again?
Take your Midol and relax. You're cramping like Lebron James. (HEY! That looks like Juwan helping to carry the cramps off the court!)

By milk, do you mean whiskey?
I've left plenty of jobs, dude. I've also regretted it plenty of times.
I've quit, I've gone the path of least resistance, and I've also flipped the middle finger to those who want me to do that, and then succeeded. And that, my friend, is when I found true independence and success.
You're wrong: there IS "glory in working your ass off in a no win situation". In fact, that's not where Alaimo is. It's only "no win" when a person quits.
Make no mistake: I wish him the best. I also want him to succeed. I also want him to grow, and become stronger. (And, yes, heat makes you stronger.).
Don't make excuses for him, and don't excuse away his flight from those trials that will make him
He has nothing. A FBC - Free Board Clown 🤡 🤡Idiotic? Lets see them facts you said you were displaying bro. Still waiting.

Tell that to #16...If you’re in a role where there is no chance of advancement (which alaimo is) there is no gain to grinding it out. Find a situation where you can advance. To sit and grind in silence is just stupid. Get what you can get.
16 never expected to play. He was trying to set himself up to be a coachTell that to #16...
I have us at 85 now, I don’t include dedrick Mackey and assume dowling is a walk-on.still over
Same here. The only holdovers i have are Burton, AOC, Semisi and DouglasI have us at 85 now, I don’t include dedrick Mackey and assume dowling is a walk-on.
And Alaimo is back ! 86 now?Same here. The only holdovers i have are Burton, AOC, Semisi and Douglas
Washington is a maybe at this point as well.
I saw that. Weird timing. May need bodies in spring. And Alaimo is back ! 86 now?
Nat, that is the dumbest thing you have ever posted. No player puts on the pads thinking that he will never play... Good Lord .. Did Wol take over your account?16 never expected to play. He was trying to set himself up to be a coach
I’ve known enough d 1 players to know that there is a wide gap between the expectations of scholarship players v walk ons. He may have hoped to see the field one day, but he knew it was a long shot.Nat, that is the dumbest thing you have ever posted. No player puts on the pads thinking that he will never play... Have you seen, read, or heard anything (even "insider" information 😉 ) that points to your hypothesis? Or, is that just your own take on it?I’ve known enough d 1 players to know that there is a wide gap between the expectations of scholarship players v walk ons. kudos to him for putting in the work, but don’t act like he came here expecting to play
Remember reading it somewhere.Have you seen, read, or heard anything (even "insider" information 😉 ) that points to your hypothesis? Or, is that just your own take on it?
No wrong answer, curious how you've arrived at that.
Interesting.Remember reading it somewhere.
There are plenty of walk ons that bust their ass and never play.Interesting.
Everything I've read was counter to that. Brohm recruited him (PWO). He came in and busted his ass to compete, which you seemed to agree with.
not sure how to reconcile that position, someone coming in and busting his ass, knowing he's not going to play.
true, but someone wanting to come in just to be a coach? Not expecting to play? In the absence of anything more, that just doesn't seem to square up.There are plenty of walk ons that bust their ass and never play.
aidan isn’t the only one that worked hard.
Walk on with coaching aspirations coming to learn from an innovative offensive coach doesn’t make sense?true, but someone wanting to come in just to be a coach? Not expecting to play? In the absence of anything more, that just doesn't seem to square up.
That's your position, not mine.Walk on with coaching aspirations coming to learn from an innovative offensive coach doesn’t make sense?
Found it.That's your position, not mine.
You said he didn't have any expectation to play. All the evidence points to the contrary. Brohm recruited him, and he came in and busted his ass... solely to play.
see how easy that is?Found it.

O'Connell's improbable journey from walk-on to starter
GoldandBlack.com visited with those who shaped O'Connell back in the Chicago area. None of this surprises them.purdue.rivals.com
Google sucks for finding old articles now. The algorithm changed.see how easy that is?
Fair enough, and I edited it... can you point me to the part where he had no expectations to play?Google sucks for finding old articles now. The algorithm changed.
Fair enough. He never said he didn’t expect to play. More or less inferred it from the 2 year commentFair enough, and I edited it... can you point me to the part where he had no expectations to play?
That’s a low blow. And not a dumb post. He said he never expected to play. Not that he didn’t hope to. How many walkons expect to play going onto a B1G team? Wasn’t he 8th on the depth chart?Nat, that is the dumbest thing you have ever posted. No player puts on the pads thinking that he will never play... Good Lord .. Did Wol take over your account?
Aoc is the first walk-on qb to start for Purdue since I started watching in 1987. I don’t think one has ever started at qb. Yet he came here expecting to play? That’s a low blow. And not a dumb post. We had some that could have passed for walkons… do they count ?Aoc is the first walk-on qb to start for Purdue since I started watching in 1987. I don’t think one has ever started at qb. Yet he came here expecting to play?
Clearly, yes. He had a starting career ahead of him where he had committed, and Brohm talked him into playing for Purdue.Aoc is the first walk-on qb to start for Purdue since I started watching in 1987. I don’t think one has ever started at qb. Yet he came here expecting to play?
Wheaton college? Ha!Clearly, yes. He had a starting career ahead of him where he had committed, and Brohm talked him into playing for Purdue.
Gents, I'm concerned Alaimo lacks the vocal leadership (and yes, I did read Tom's article/post when first released). He's athletic with a good arm. Any chance he comes out of his shell? Any idea who potentially gets bumped or are the coaches playing the %'s for injury?
Sorry. Meant the overall roster. 86 scholarship players? Agree with you on the 5 QB's--ideally top two with experience, 2 budding and 1 RS.only have 4 scholarship QBs with alaimo. Would feel better with 5. Don’t think the eh are playing the % for injury, just good practice to have 4+ starting QBs.
I fully expect we will have more attrition this summer, likely several. Last year we had 4 enter the transfer portal April-July and it seems like we always have a new commit or two not make it on campus.Sorry. Meant the overall roster. 86 scholarship players?
