It’s probably already curtains for Walters. BoBo just doesn’t want to hire someone as an intern head coach for 2 games. Firing Walters now isn’t going to make a difference in the IU game.
Face it. A new coach hired after a loss at MSU isn’t going to make a difference against IU. Having an assistant coach take over for one game isn’t going to make a difference either.
You might as well keep Walters for the remainder of the season

Disagree. This team has quit on Walters. Putting in an interim for the iu game might be the magic sauce to pull an epic upset and have Purdue piss in iu's playoff punch.
They had Walters fire the OC without anyone else who could call offensive plays, it’s mostly symbolic. It is very common to have an interim head coach and Purdue fired hope and hazel mid season.
So let's all bet on Purdue to win, if somehow they do, we use those winnings to buyout Ryan Walters and start over.

At this point I don’t care about msu, it’s all about the IU game and giving our team what they need to spoil IUs season with an upset win in front of their home crowd. Let Walters go, drop his stupid man coverage defense, simplify the offensive schemes and run the ball to control clock, don’t give them any film for what we’re planning. Hell bring in Brees for 1 game as a ceremonial coach and let him bring in his friends to call the offense and defense…it would be a highlight for the player’s careers.

Let’s look at this logically. Walters is going to coach the MSU game. If he loses, the quickest he would be fired would be Saturday night or Sunday. And who is going to be given the job of coaching Purdue against IU? Someone outside the school? That’s not going to happen within one week. Purdue doesn’t have an offensive Coordinator to step in. Looking at our scores, would you really want Purdue’s defense coordinator to be in charge against a high powered Indiana offense!

You need to add that the majority of offensive players are from different schools ... let me help you. OL - IU, QB - Ohio, RBs 2 from Wake Forest 1 from UNC and 1 from JMU, WR - IU, Texas Tech, JMU ... coaching staff 1 from IU all the rest JMU (thats the key that that team). At least you didn't call IU "JMU West" ... I fight that battle with all the JMU fans. 😂
This is in reference to your profile photo ... I blame Adidas for that error but I blame the IU Equipment Manager crew the most. That jersey should have been put back in the box for a return replacement. 😂 If I remember correctly the player wearing that was not in the 2-deep rotation.

5 on offense and 3 on defense. They had two starting tackles transfer before the coaching change that now start for Auburn and Colorado, so even with them it would still have been 5 offense. One WR and all the OL ... until starting OT was hurt for the year two games ago and his replacement was from JMU. On defense they are all DBs

We didn’t have anyone that could call offensive plays besides Harrell and it didn’t stop us from firing him.
Patrick Higgins coached the indiana game when hope was fired before it. Gerad Parker after hazell. Both were position coaches before then.
I would expect jason Simmons would call offensive plays and maybe even coach. Cory Patterson could be another option but his past with Walters may make that awkward (but not as much as brohms brother coaching in a bowl game).
And yes we care about Purdue winning and yes IU sucks.
