Selection Sunday

Maybe they were hedging their bet in the event they lost so the committee wouldn't take away their #1 seed....

Sampson pulling a Boeheim? No way, Beef. :)

The committee representative, Reynolds, did mention they considered some of the injuries, including UCLA and Houston (as well as Kansas' potentially being down McCullar and Self).

Funny thing about Sampson - someone mentioned the other day that IU admin screwed up the handling of that situation. They argued IU should have done a Kansas, Arizona type maneuver giving the bird to the NCAA and kept him. Their point was, had Sampson stayed, IU would have won a title under him.

Sorry if I missed it but I love the irony of some of the teams who made it and those that didn’t.

Jaelin Llewelyn left Princeton to play at Michigan. Princeton made the tourney and Michigan didn’t.

Pete Nantz left Northwestern for UNC. Only Northwestern is going to the dance.

Zeb Jackson and Brandon Johns will play in the tourney for VCU and Michigan won’t.

Wish I had a list of all the guards and portal guys we targeted to see how their seasons ended up.

And another...
Eric Hunter left for Butler, and the Bulldogs finished under .500.

I feel bad for him. Still think he would've been an asset on this year's team...

But if he stayed we don’t get Jenkins. Think Jenkins is a bigger asset. Sucks for Hunter but then again he graduated so under no obligation to stay.
