Schoop has to be fired at the least

Hudson has had many many many more better games than Schoop. And even in a game like today after it went 7-0 after the first drive our offense still had the ball and punted like 6 times in the first Q. You can't keep a beat up defense out there like that. And ILL consistently were starting just inside the 40. What has really killed Hudson is his LBs getting hurt and ILL and Minn figured out just run it toward whichever LB is inside the defensive end.

Shoop is worse.

Who in their right mind would take either the DC or OC job??
Maybe we could steal an ex-CFL coach again!

Forget blaming the assistants. The blame belongs on the head coach. Anyone think Hazell should be off the hook by saying "Gee it's not my fault it's my assistants".

Shoop should of been gone already but bet your ass he better be gone at the end of the IU game! The Nebaska game was lucky no way around it. I have no idea how he had a job before this...smh seems like he keeps running plays that don't work and goes away from what's working and that's hardly ever, Is he trying to get FIRED??? Blough and Jones have a chance to be special but not under Shoop, he's pissing their college careers away! If Morgans butt hurt over the team not improving do something about it! He might as well fire himself while he's at too!
Is it basketball season yet???

I feel the same way if not even stronger for a case that Hudson is worse. If that is possible?

At this point, I agree. I'd still love to smack Schoop right in the face, but if I had to choose one to fire, I'm going w Hudson. The fact that his son probably can't tackle me in the open field says a lot about dad as a coach, if you ask me. I hate to throw a player under the bus, but Jesus! A backup qb runs through the C gap and goes 17 more yards with Hudson hugging his neck. Wtf is that? Other than Bentley, I'm not convinced a single player on that side of the ball is a power conf. D1 player. You can blame poor schemes and poor morale on coaching, but by the time you get to college, you should know how to tackle.
The lone bright spot on a consistent basis with this team is Markell. Even when his stats aren't there. The kids busting his ass every single play.

This is why our own fans are part of the problem.

Firing Shoop at this point is literally pointless. First off, you don't do these kind of moves after year THREE. These are things you do after your first year, or maybe your second. NOT your third year. This all goes straight to Hazell at this point. He has chosen to keep these coaches - ALL of them - around this whole time. He has not fired one assistant coach and we're at the bottom of the Big Ten in nearly every aspect of the game.

If Hazell stays after this season, he is about as much of a lame duck coach as you can be. What coordinator (that is worth anything) would be wanting to come to Purdue?

Purdue Football has SO many problems that firing a coordinator after year 3 is like putting a band aid on a gun shot wound. Saying "oh just fire Shoop and I'll be fine with going into next year" is literally sitting on your hands.
