Well if we’re taking the “low ball” guy as gospel, he did mention they had two other coaches in their sights...Brown and someone else. This might be the someone else.

Not that I’m taking anything as gospel at this point.

As a Louisville fan, if we weren’t getting Brohm then Satterfield would have been one of my top choices. Surprised he was spurned by UNC in favor of Mack Brown—that was a mistake in my opinion.

What’s annoying is that, whatever happens, the UL fans will be even more annoying than they already are. If they do get Brohm, we all know what will happen. If they don’t get Brohm, they will still come here with all”oh we still got the better coach than you” attitude.

Agree about Mack Brown. I live in Raleigh, and I'm puzzled, but lots of my friends who are UNC alumni seem pretty excited about it. If the goal is to boost ticket sales with a nostalgic hire, then I guess they've succeeded.

Satterfield situation is something I'll follow as a sport enthusiast. He's at his alma making less than 500k. I imagine UNC is going to regret this. I've looked at Boone, NC. It looks like a peaceful place to live that I wouldn't mind visiting.

I have heard a lot of great things about Satterfield and that he has done wonders at App State. He should receive serious consideration for the Purdue job if Brohm leaves. In his fifth year at App State, he's 46-16 with 3 bowl wins and they are 9-2 this year and headed to another bowl. Lost in OT to Penn State this year.
