Their recent loss at home to Michigan pushed our loss to them into Q2.

It’d be nice if they could win out to have a chance at becoming top 30 again but not sure how likely that is.

I’m not in the habit of wishing for misfortune on others, but I’m all for more missing soldiers in our future opponents - Purdue has a depressing legacy of losing key guys at the worst possible time.

Their remaining schedule doesn't make it likely. They would definitely have to win their last 3 against Penn St, Minnesota and Northwestern. Depending on tiebreakers that might even be enough to get them to the 4 seed in the BTT, which might avoid them having to play one of the teams that plays Wednesday.
