Was aided big time by horrendous spacing by Purdue.
Several times we had all five of our players between the baseline and Rutgers three point line (or just past it). That allowed Rutgers to easily trap us.
Got to make Rutgers guard more than that small space.
In addition Octeus was constantly breaking towards the corner.....and Matthias was constantly throwing it into the corner.
It was rather unbelievable to see Rutgers score 17 points in last two minutes. Not sure I have ever seen that done by a team down 16 points with 2 minutes left.
We definitely missed Vince against the press.
Not overly concerned as I think it was a bit of a 2 minute fluke....and several of our issues are easily correctable. No doubt sloppy passes played a role as well...so that has to get cleaned up as well.
