Rocky Flop…

Wait, like most SEC football teams that are the blue blood of college football, I thought they all ran clean programs. This is really shocking to me........Not!

The sad thing about this is that Tennessee football has not been relevant since Fullmer left. At least, get your money's worth, which they have not.

And Pruitt came from where? Just doing what he was taught at Sabanville.

Payments to players don't have to be hidden anymore. But they'll punish TN to keep GA happy. Politics is a beautiful thing.
Yeah, that is what is happening here...TN cheated...still could not win...got caught (shocking)...and now the pitch is that this is somehow to appease GA (who is SO far ahead of TN it is laughable).

TN got what they deserved for being so eager to fire Fulmer.

Beside loosing a few scholarships and maybe getting a one year bowl ban (which woulda been a low teer one anyways) Pretty much nothing will happen...They fired the coach and I'm sure all the players that got money are long gong

UTenn is the gift that keeps on giving. Their fan base definitely is in the team picture for whinest in the nation.

Weren't they supposed to beat the breaks off of us?
Caution...turn sound down if in office with other company or workers.

Tenn wasn’t doing anything the rest of the other sec wasn’t doing. Rather than being caught, I would speculate one of the other schools got mad at them for stealing one of their recruits and turned them in.

Pruitt wasn’t fired for cheating or getting caught for cheating. He was fired because he didn’t win enough games! If you’re a an sec coach, you’re expected to win 10+ games and bowl games.

I recall Tommy Bowden at Auburn. He won a National championship. But he didn’t repeat and his subsequent years just didn’t reach his booster’s expectations. So he was fired! Was he a cheater? Yes, 24/7. However cheating is accepted in the sec . Losing is not accepted! If you go 7-5, that puts you on the hot seat.

what I can’t understand is boosters who will say 7-5 is not good enough, here is $8 million, fire him and buy out his contract!

TN was like the underdog horse in the race that begins to quietly gain ground on the leaders. Their recruiting has improved. New coach has the team looking better. They are getting media attention. It makes some people at the top nervous. "Can't allow this upstart to threaten our hold on first place!" So they apply political pressure and this is the result. There is no honor among thieves.

Not really. The last 2 classes were slightly worse than Tennessee's average class. And now this class is more in line with the years prior to the last 2.

Alabama and Georgia are not worried about Tennessee's 11 three star recruits in the 2023 class. Which almost as many as Bama and Georgia... combined... for 2022 AND 2023... 15.

I don't see it that way...TN has long thought that they are better than they are and more relevant than they are. In fact, it is what got them in the position that they are in the first place when they fired Fulmer.

TN is absolutely no threat to Georgia or 'Bama...from a player talent standpoint, and, impossible to be less of one from a HC standpoint.

Nobody is nervous about TN...for Pete's sake, they could not win a home bowl game against a depleted Purdue team...Auburn ran circles around a better Purdue team in the same bowl just a few years ago, and, they are barely relevant in the SEC...and, had a lousy coach when they did it.

I will agree on your final point about no honor among thieves, and, no greater thieves than the SEC, but, that is not what is holding TN back, or, will be.
