IL didn't give us a favor today - those dicks.

Purdue plays @ IU, @ IA, @ UM, @ MSU and last conference game @ IL. Purdue gets IU & UM at home. Need some help with MSU and need some ass kicking road victories.

To me though, their shooting away from WL will have to take a step up, or eventually Purdue will soon find some hardship losses on the road, even with the fantastic D they are playing.

Yes, if you look at it by an unbalanced schedule. But looking at it through KenPom eyes, Iowa is 13th and Indiana is 14th.

Feel like Painter/Keady had the saying about winning the conference title is defending your home court and picking up a few road wins.....

Out of those 5, I think 2 are potential wins in Iowa and Indiana. Michigan State and Illinois will be the 2 hardest. Michigan is iffy in my book.

It does suck for the West Coast teams. I don't blame any of their coaches from bitching. Obviously, the decision to join the conference was made way above their heads. The schools will make more money and maybe their coaches will too, but when in the heat of the battle, I don't blame them for being a little frosty about it.

In his defense, I believe he was responding directly to a question about schools having to travel out west. He was making a fair point, that if we are going to be concerned (which we obviously aren't), then we should be concerned about the travel of the west coast schools, not the mid-west ones like Iowa.

Believe me, I get that everyone knew this was going to be an issue. But I'm pretty sure if the roles were reversed we would be a little more understanding of the coach complaining about it in the heat of the season.

I think the reporter knew what the response was going to be and he decided to throw the bait out to Cronin. We've seen Cronin throw his players under the bus already this year. He just creates headlines that overshadow how poor they're playing on the court.

Yeah, that's how press conferences work. Reporters want coaches to make remarks and they pose their questions accordingly. As I said, Cronin isn't a sympathetic figure, I get it. He isn't the best person for the message, but that doesn't mean the message doesn't have any merit.

So we're due for a little bit more rest the rest of the way. Only 3 B1G teams (Purdue, IU, Rutgers) have played 19 games, and only 3 in the Top 25 (Purdue, St. John's, Louisville) have played 19.
