Very saddened to hear this news.

I do remember catching that '74 Purdue team winning the National Invitational Tournament, for which he was a captain with John Garrett. He was also was a member of the '75 Golden State Warriors NBA Champion squad with Rick Barry and another rookie named Wilkes.
