Rest of Schedule…

It could--probably will--get bumpy. Illinois looked very good against Arkansas yesterday. Auburn has been a juggernaut so far. Wisconsin looks salty, as usual. We'll see what Oregon does against Alabama. Rutgers and Indiana are off to so-so starts, but both have talent. We'll see if they can put it together.

Purdue isn't going to run this table by any stretch. But they'll be a tough out for anyone if they stick together and play to their potential.

Don't sleep on Michigan, Ohio State, Maryland, or MSU either. Lots of capable teams in the BIG. Nebraska, UCLA, and even Penn State aren't just going to fall over, either.

I agree. I don’t believe much in MSU to be honest. They can’t shoot the 3 and their front court is atrocious. I don’t think UNC is as good as they’ve been ranked…they have a bad front court too (which I don’t understand how that’s possible). But the others you mentioned, def agree.

I am glad we are scheduling more demanding games against elite teams. This will benefit us greatly come March.

I don’t know if we threepeat because the conference is going to be strong. That coupled with traveling out to the West coast will be tough as well.

I still think we are too 3/4 in conference and probably 4/6 seed in the tourney.

If we can get to the S16 this year and it be in Indy, that’d be a huge win. And 3PETEing would be awesome too.

We can see how thst works for other programs. Purdue should be pkayibgbthe best talent year over year as this edtablishes the team culture and sets forth the right mindset.
No one says it's bad strategy for BASKETBALL where strength of schedule matters greatly and there are over 30+ games so tons of opportunity to win enough games to make a post season tournament.

Where it IS a bad strategy is football. Where you need six wins period, and where SOS only matters if you are a top team trying to make the playoffs (and IU has shown it doesn't even matter then).

But I guess that's a "blowhard" way of looking at it lol
