I’m gonna go with 8-2 to finish at 16-4 with losses at Michigan and Illinois. Wisconsin game scares me a little bit as well.

Does 16-4 win the league? Surely at least a share, right?

Depends on how MSU does obviously. Having a 2 game lead is a nice cushion.

I'm going to say Purdue goes 7-3 in the second half of B1G play. Obviously, it's much tougher sledding than the first half. I used to think the finale @Illinois could decide the title. Now, I think Purdue almost has to win @MSU to have a chance. I just don't see many losses left on MSU's schedule.

Wisconsin is going to be a bruiser. Iowa and Indiana desperately need quality wins. So does UCLA. I expect those games to be tough.

Purdue certainly has work to do.

Of the 5 road games, I see us losing 3. Michigan, MSU and Illinois. Michigan is really going to want payback for the stomping we gave them. The Penn State game is going to come back to haunt us.
I’d be shocked if Purdue lost all three of the above. Granted all three would have the revenge intangible, coming from Purdue’s recent success over each. But I just feel Paint has Izzo’s number now and Illinois usually finds a way to p!ss away games despite a huge talent advantage. I’d say the game in AA would be the toughest W to get. JMHO

Think Purdue wins 1 of those 3.

Granted we've played more games than most teams in the conference and the country, but doesn't it feel like there should be more than 10 games left? Where did the season go?

That being said, the stretch of @UM, Wisconsin, @MSU and @Indinia will tell us a lot about this team's chances going into March.

It seems as though when the team you cheer for and follow day today, has a good to great season, their seasons fly by.

MSU, Michigan and Illinois are 3 tough road games. Curious what Illinois looks like without Ivisic since he has mono and not sure if he will be “back” this year.

MSU has to be at Illinois before we arrive to town and has a pretty tough stretch. That might make their legs a little weary.

I said 7-3 above, but I won't be disappointed with 6-4. As of today, Purdue's last 10 regular season games break down as:

Quad 1:
@ IOWA
@ Michigan
Wisconsin
@ MSU
@ Indiana
@ Illinois

Quad 2:
Indiana
USC
UCLA

Quad 3:
Rutgers

Conference title becomes more meaningless every time we expand. Just last year we played over half (7 of 13) the conference twice. Now we only play 3 opponents of 17 home and away. Obviously the schedule is a bigger factor than ever. Who do you have to twice? Where do you get to play against other contenders? Where do you get to play against the bottom of the league?

Yeah, it won't be the same as football because you do actually play everyone at least. And I do think the B1G did the scheduling about as good as they possibly could. But there's no way to avoid an unbalance to some degree.

At the same time though, I keep going back and forth on whether it's better to have - in Purdue's case anyway - single road games at Illinois and Michigan State as opposed to home games. Home games would be 'easier' to win but the road games are better for the metrics.
