Has anyone seen a Purdue fan (with several posts and not a new account) go over to the IU site and degrade IU when Purdue wins a game, a big game...any game? Did anyone post on IU when Purdue beat Louisville, Marquette, Maryland, Northwestern, Arizona or Butler? When Purdue with their depleted roster in football after almost beating Michigan, Wisconsin, Louisville or after beating Missouri and IU go to the IU site and talk about how bad IU was? Did this happen and if it did...why? I see no problem in going to another site and carrying on an intelligent coversation in support of your thoughts or team, but tell me it is not possible that my tax dollars are somehow tied to what appears to be IU posters. It would be horrible if they were actually in school down south and pretty damn bad if they graduated high school. Gotta feel sorry for those needing an ego stroked so much...even though it is sometimes hard...

I say this a bit in jest, but yet I'm fully aware of all the money thrown to people claiming to be students that are not...just looking for free money from the government. Are we seeing an example of that type of a student that has no interest in education...only free money...

If I had voice-to-type, I'd give a long winded and boring reply - but I'll simply say that I know far too many IU fans who skipped the personal decency class and took advanced narcissism.

I have an aunt, a cousin, and multiple nieces and nephews who Bring Facebook to its knees whenever IU wins or PU loses, none if whim have stepped foot on campus. As clearly evidenced by there remarkable vocabulary.

This describes a lot of Indiana families.

The primary difference is personal investment in the respective university. Few Boiler fans are not associated to Purdue as alums, students, employees or family members of said persons. A great many of IU "fans" have no true previous or current affiliation with the university and they are usually the most outrageous in their actions. I lived in Washington, IN from'93-'00. Even the tap water ran cream and crimson. Went to a meeting one evening at a Gatti's Pizza and noticed multiple horse and buggies tied outside. It was snowing and 20°. The place was full of local young Amish couples that had come to town to watch Bob Knight's team on the bigscreen. Never had heard of this among Boiler fans and this was typical of local fans with no ties to IU other than Knight.

Absolutely true. I saw a stat once that IU had the most non-affiliated fans (#1) in the nation... Someone challenged that tOSU did. Whatever.

There has been someone trolling over there lately (maybe Notflot by name?), but I haven’t seen any of our regular posters over there trying to stir trouble.
