For some reason....expecting a terrific shooting night from the Boilers and lock down D wins this one easily for the good guys 84-55. Been wrong before....

Oh- and Carsen Edwards is a cold blooded assassin!

I stated in a different thread that this type of game scares me a lot. One where we are clearly the better team - but they do have strengths. Sometimes you can get caught sleeping the easiest playing at home (see MSU/Rutgers). The Minnesota game, for example, there was obviously motivation for the guys going into this game and it was a road game so you're on alert. This game is at home and not against a team we've "struggled" with ala Minnesota that we're out for revenge.

Our 3 point shooting will dictate this game. It's easy to forget that Wisconsin may not be good, but they have one of the best centers in the country. It'll be a test for Haas/Haarms. If those guys struggle - it'll make us rely on 3 point shooting, which can get you in trouble if you're not on. Games we haven't been hot from the outside - like NW- we were able to pound it inside with ease. That's not going to be easy against Wisconsin, but a good game from Haas/Haarms can make it be successful.

While Wisconsin hasn't been playing well recently, they did lose to Baylor by 5, lost to Xavier by 10, lost to UCLA by 2 and lost to UVA by 12 and down by 4 at half (although 12 points in UVA world is a lot I guess). It's not like they're getting shredded.

I don't predict a 20+ point win like the others so far. I think it'll be a hard fought game. But I'm always ok to be wrong.

Yeah but those games they had Trice and King who are both injured now not nearly as good without those two players. Shit can happen but I am not too worried. Its basically Happ and the scrubs now

The Badgers have no business keeping this game close. Happ is great, but not a bad matchup for Haas or Haarms. He doesn't shoot from deep. The rest of the team has trouble scoring.

This is the first Big Ten game I can remember not being worried for a long time. Well, that fact makes me nervous. Now I'm worried, dang it!

Happ has 1 move. Left block spin baseline and go under basket for a layup.

Feel like this will be close for a little but we will pull away and crush them

I thought Haas was the one guy in the B1G that gives Happ fits. Maybe I misremembered. Anyways, since it's just Happ and a few sidekicks I don't see this as a major hurdle, especially since it's at home.

I'm not predicting a blow-out, either. I still remember a game at Mackey in Hummel's final season where Wisconsin got out to about a 16-0 lead and narrowly won. Obviously all of the personnel has changed on both sides but that's just a reminder that anything is possible.

You remember correctly. I think Haarms will do ok against him as well.

We worked this team for 90+ last year at home and I don't see a reason we don't do whatever we want in this year's version.

Should be about a 20 point win for the OG&B

Last season they only played once and Purdue won in a relatively low-scoring affair. You might be thinking of the game at Mackey two seasons ago.
