Purdue vs. Texas A&M: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

We are in a good spot. They are a terrible shooting team and it will even out. Hack their bigs anytime they are within 5 feet.

The whistle will will even out too. A/M more physical right now. Braden needs to get to the lane/rim to draw fouls and quit going to that baseline fade. If he is aggressive and makes the refs call it they will.

Just unlucky with their 3 pt shooting

They are terrible from outside yet are 6 for 11 from 3

They have had just 2 games so far where they made more than 6 threes

The lack of offensive talent from the complementary players is tough. Harris can't shoot at all, Heide doesn't want to shoot all the time and can't drive, Colvin is in a big funk but I like his drive that got him to the FT line. Furst can't finish at all around the rim and Burg still looks lost on offense even though I thought he did other positive things including getting their center off of TKR.

Other than Loyer being opportunistic or Braden making a drop coverage 3pt, there is not much else on the offensive end today. I don't see this one as a win in the 2nd half unless TKR or someone beside Loyer and Smith step up to make a shot.

TKR is getting completely dominated mentally today. They are in his head in a big way.

Is it just me or does Bill Raftery not add... anything?

He’s one of my all time favorites, however, while his voice is still great his analysis at 81 years old is nowhere near what it once was. I don’t mind him though.

We need to abandone the high PnR with braden and tkr, it hasnt worked in a while. Go back to block entry post ups with kick outs to shooters on double teams. Use high PnR for late shot clock situations

They are giving Purdue fits and yet Purdue is right there. Payne was tough on Purdue last year. Hopefully their 3 ball quits going in.
