Purdue vs Notre Dame 1968 game video

When my brother enrolled at Purdue as a freshman in the fall of 1968, this was the first Purdue football game I ever watched....I was a little kid at the time. Purdue was ranked #1 in the country with Purdue greats Mike Phipps and Leroy Keyes on the squad. They went to play #2 Notre Dame in South Bend and beat ND 37-22. I consider this to be the best football game ever in Purdue history and I've been looking for a video of it for years. I finally found a copy of it on YouTube. Enjoy:

Yes, he did graduate from Purdue and proudly mentioned during the broadcast that he went there with then-Boilermaker trainer Pinky Newell. Chris and Bud Wilkinson on the call for ABC.

I love the understated style of Schenkel and Wilkinson, and really love the crisp, classic uniform design featuring old gold.
