What should be our strategy vs. Valentine? No one else on that team scares me at all. And I'm not talking about the referee.

When we beat them at home we put Davis on Forbes and pretty much just took him away. Valentine got off but we were able to survive for the win. I'd probably keep Davis on Forbes because Valentine is the type of player you may not be able to take away even if you do a good job on him. Hopefully a combination of a bunch of players can help keep Valentine down a little more than the first game. The biggest factor will be turnovers/transition. Any game we can keep in the halfcourt on both ends is a game we give ourselves an excellent chance to win right now. Bad shots and turnovers are our biggest enemies.
I agree, but I think we need to focus on taking away the middle for Valentine because that's when he makes most of his decisions to go underneath with a pass or to penetrate. If he goes off for 10 assists I think it will be hard for us to win. He's already got 5 assists 8 minutes into the Maryland game.
We need to avoid letting valentine go off on us in the assist category or it will be fatal. He already has 6 assists and 4 rebounds with 9 minutes to play in the FIRST HALF and MSU leads by 10.
