Wife got me tickets to the game for Christmas, so we made the drive down tonight. What a fun yet stressful game to see in person. In enemy territory too!

Also, I found it odd that Holtman put Sensabaugh on Braden for a possession or so in teh final few minutes. It wasn't a switch, but a dead ball where he went to pick up Braden. Not sure if he thought he could cut the head off with a taller, heavier and stronger player or if there was another that was a better defender they wanted on another Purdue player. My money says Holtman (being a previous PG @ Taylor Univeristy under long time coach Paul Patterson maybe saw what a LOT of people are seeing with Braden. We just need to remember he is still a freshman even when he plays much older...
Agreed. Was a good shot. It was deja vu after osu hit the go ahead bucket. I’m thinking to myself the difference between good and great teams is great teams finish and hit the shots when they count the most. We did that tonight. Not saying we are great (yet) but it definitely is a reassuring sign.
I attended the game...and Jenkins had his best game as a Boiler. 3/3 beyond the 3 point line. I noticed he was hitting 3s consistently in warmups.
I am happy to see Painter also made line up adjustments at the half...and started Jenkins and Gillis in the 2nd half.

Because he is the best PG Purdue has had. That was a hella team!!! Just happened when UCLA was hella, and still only 2 pts better during the season!
My Bball started in '60 with Dishinger (I was in 6th grade). I enjoyed Griese, but never got into Fball.
How old are you? I'm just guessing here, but from your lack of BB acumen I'd say <18

I watched the first game in Mackey on a TV with poor reception on channel 18. The first college football game I ever attended was in Fall '66 as a HS band member on band day.
Kudos to Casey. Have not read all 500 entries here so if previously discussed, forgive me. In his twitter feed at the very start of the game last night he typed something like this:
"Sensabaugh at one end. Zach Edey at the other. Which teams best player will make plays in the final two minutes?"
I guess Zach did and led his team to victory as a result, as Casey was implying could be the case. Zachen hit that hook to bring us back within 1 point in the final minute. Then after Morton's slick steal to regain possession he recognized coverage and made the smart play by passing back out to Fletcher, who validated that correctness by hitting the hero shot. Loyer had to make the shot (two games. in a row now) but it was made possible only because Zach did not get sticky fingers and try to make a play that was not there.
After our sloppy start I turned the TV off and monitored the score during the game. When it got to two minutes I told my wife, man, I need to see the end of this at least. That was the best decision I have made in quite some time. That was a bang up finish- so glad I was there to see it. Now can watch the game today with a lower stress level throughout.

can't cherry pick like that, how about if Edey didn't miss an open dunk in the first half of that game?

I had my back against the concrete in the top row for the 1st game in Mackey. So DAMNED close ... but what a game!
Been there for a while. Just for curiosity, ask your cardiologist about Metropolol ... i don't think it is specifically for hi blood pressure, but it has been a miracle drug for me!!!
Loyer missed two straight FTs ... Zach got a foul in the first two minutes (probably the most game changing single occurrence). They gave the ball to them when they knocked it out of Gillis' hands near the sideline ... it goes on and on for both teams!
Ha Ha. When it gets tight Kim leaves the room, not due to me yelling but due to her nerves. I'm generally pretty quiet. Last night as she was leaving the room I told her she wouldn't make much of a coach and she replied as she was leaving the room..."I'm not going to coach."
Then whe Purdue won and I told her and asked if she wanted to see what she missed and she said "yes, now that I know who won." She sat down and I grab the remote and walk up to the TV to start the replay pausing it to point out the alignment of players and what OSU wants to do that Purdue knows and how the stacked alignment concerned me and she said, "I'm not going to remember all that...just let it play. I then said how can you fully enjoy the game if you don't know some of the things going on? I pointed out the Caleb for Zach to get some length and quickness and said let's see if Caleb going to shade the pass to the inside and see if he helped force it to the short side of the court for a trap" God love her...she is a die hard Boiler fanand enjoys what she enjoys...
She was texting towards the end to a friend and after I let ONE F-bomb...rather loud which is usually under my breath (Had to be a mental mistake for me to do that and I think it was a pass with no sufficient spacing that was picked off) her friend said I lost count how many F-bombs Jeff said! Now if Purdue can nail PSU, it will be a good week...
Yes I saw that and it ended up better with a 3 and less clock, but definitely I saw it. Matt was yelling at them after Braden backed the ball out, but don't know if Matt was yelling much before that. Yes, Ethan grabs the ball and Braden has an opening it appeared to the basket.
Giving it some more thought.... Everette was a good scorer and good player. I can't recall his playmaking being similar to Braden's but he would be a good one for indepth thought. The reality is Braden's court savvy and passing make it hard to recall another of similar ability...
