Yes…Purdue played terrible that half and is still up.

Foul trouble with Smith and Loyer hurt them down the stretch. On the bright side, they haven't dug a hole, but this is a back-alley brawl that MSU wants.
His D is solid, you’re correct, how in the heck did he average 28 a game in High School? Hit a damn wide open shot already! Purdue really looked bad without the Frosh guards. One can see how important they are with this team.

Smith is too small, and Loyer is too weak.
They don't take a ton, but they can make some - mainly Hauser and Walker.

Is Mason that slow where he can’t play the 3 on occasion? He’s only 6-6, I would think he could play there a little.
He's done a pretty good job on Hoggard....they have to check Walker and Hauser, too and keep it up on the boards.

Smith and Loyer both need to drive in the paint and force contact to get to the line.
It didn’t help that Purdue couldn’t hit a shot. Purdue didn’t make a basket the last 6 minutes in the half.
Yes - ZE has 16 of Purdue's 27 attempts.....Loyer and Smith just three shots combined.
