Purdue made an early offer to Indianapolis (Ind.) Pike three-star CB Josh Hayes and remains his sole offer. He continues to keep in close contact with coaches Parker and Johnson, and expects to visit next weekend with a teammate.
I just saw Hayes about a month ago at a very talented 7-on-7 and came away feeling very comfortable with where we have him rated. He didn't necessarily do anything that wowed, but he lacks for nothing physically. Has great size, flips his hips effortlessly and has the speed and quickness to handle fast receivers. A guy I would certainly feel comfortable throwing out on an island and letting him lock down his side of the field. Based on film and what I've seen in-person, I am surprised he does not hold more offers.
