I really liked the players on that team as the season started. Lots of talent.I don’t have it, but I have a question of what it is about that game.
I am sure though there are a lot of copies of us opening a can of whoop #%@ on IU over the last few years.
I have been told if you want something in life, you must go after it, haha! You might be the most persistent person I have ever seen on a message board
Dude, give it up. There is only a handful of Purdue fans that come to this forum. If you haven’t found someone with it at this point, you never will here.Searching full steam ahead.....................
Do you have any other suggestions?Dude, give it up. There is only a handful of Purdue fans that come to this forum. If you haven’t found someone with it at this point, you never will here.
Thanks for the post.A shame you can't put threads on ignore, only posters. Would be useful
A more descriptive subject might've helped, Purdue Men's Basketball Game is fairly generic, but good luck!
Let me go jump in my time machine and program my VCR to record.
But first you have to tell why this 40 point blowout from 24 years ago holds such value.
Career highlight for a walk-on relative?
The depth and talent of this team got me real excited about the season.
I used to have this game. Jamaal Davis and Cameron Stephens looked real
sharp in their 1st Purdue games. Gary McQuay looked to be where Purdue
needed him to be as a Junior, too. And Jaraan Cornell and Mike Robinson looked
ready to lead with Cardinal. Plus, I knew Carson Cunningham would be explosive
on offense after he got used to Purdue's system. Eldridge and Mayfield were
solid. Greg McQuay was coming in from JC and was supposed to be better than
Gary.
Plus, I have family from the Asheville, NC area, so it was a memorable game in
many ways even though Purdue destroyed them. They got to play Purdue, and its
still the only meeting between the 2 schools in basketball. To say I would love to
have a VHS or DVD of this game would be a huge understatement. Someone
putting it on YouTube would work, too. Prefer a VHS or DVD copy though.
VHS might look clearer? Not sure how well VHS transfers to DVD?
If you have it, know someone that does, or know someone that might have a
friend who has it, just let me know! I appreciate your post! I know some Boiler
still has it, just got to connect with him/her. Thanks again!
Thank you!Could be a longshot but have you tried contacting anyone in the athletic dept? Can appreciate how passionately you want that particular game...maybe Elliot Bloom could help steer you towards obtaining a copy?
