This reminds me of the Northwestern game. Nebraska is shooting with ridiculous confidence.
Why no Colvin? Can hit a 3, see if he can help spark a ralley at this point.
I’m letting my emotions get the best of me. Most of these threes you can’t do anything about. It is what it is. And everytime we get a stop, they get bailed out with a questionable foul call. We don’t have that guy who can make the tough 3s. We have solid shooters that can usually hit open 3s (except when the whole team forgets how for a game) if we don’t win the big ten, we don’t win the big ten. We are better off losing games like this now and learning from it, then rolling through the big ten and not getting challenged
They have outplayed Purdue even with the hot shooting.....earned this victory. Boilers have to figure this out on the road in a hurry - even bigger hornet's nest next week.
Really like the adjustments Painter made to start the second half. Turnovers continue to haunt us in big games.

Great game by Nebraska and their coach. They deserve this.

Not a slight to Edey at all, I love the kid, but he will get destroyed in the NBA.

He wasn’t going to gain any speed in the offseason. He is a 2nd round pick at best. The free throw shooting seems like it has gotten worse which doesn’t bode well if teams want him to make a jumper.
Purdue can beat anyone but also lose to anyone... Clearly... This Nebraska team is good at home for sure. But my issue is this looks a carbon copy of the last 3 losses we have seen from this team.... Exact same thing... Teams are fully confident against us. Doesn't matter who we play every team feels they can beat us... A lot of times sports is a mental game. Purdue, at times, is very weak mentally and the other teams all believe they have a chance...

Then you haven't been watching. Edey got schooled tonight, effort across the board wasn't there, and Nebraska played a really good game. Not the end of the world, just need to regroup against IU.
Nobody is gonna win when the opponent shoots 60% from 3. We had good defense on a lot of them and they just couldn't miss. Then we missed a ton of wide open 3's in the first half. It is what it is.

Why Carson Edwards team was so good. Carson and Cline thought every shoot was going in.
Smith has taken a leap this year which is going to help tourney time. Jones and Loyer are solid rotation guys. Gillis is a glue guy.
Painter needs to get Trey, Colvin, or Cam going as another scoring option/threat. Disappointing thus far.

Neb played great on offense and defense. Refs certainly helped. But once again Purdue has no answer for when Edey is swarmed.
Edey has to make quick choices when teams are going to play like this. Crush your man inside or kick it out. He has gotten better but tonight looked like freshman Edey. He has to play better. He is the alpha. If he is getting fouled then coaches need to draw something to counter aggressiveness of Neb and run stuff for others.

I didn't say it was a key play but you are in full on Defend Painter mode for the mildest of criticism so I can see why you might think that.
Lance Jones should never have the most field goal attempts in any game. He’s a solid defender and great in the open court, but his 3 point shot selection is terrible!
