Loyer doing his Jerry West imitation tonightThat is a weak sauce call.....goodness gracious.
never thought we'd reach 80 pointsHelluva turnaround this half on both ends
Garcia missed 4 I believeMinnesota is Brick City from the line...wow.
Well.. we have Mensa- level visitors from low-rent schools who are lecturing us about playing too many players…Tough start, wore them down, nice finish
We like that starting 5? Keep it same?
Peace Boilers

HUGE MINS for him. Def room for improvement but he was great. Hope this helps his confidence and he can give us good mins going forward. Was great to see.Nice game 4 Furst.
Smith joining the 1000 points, 500 assists and 400 rebounds club….second player to ever do it at Purdue….hes only halfway through his junior year.Fletcher Loyer leads Purdue in scoring tonight with 24 (8/10 - 4/6 3pt) and 4/4 FT's.
Smitty - 20/6/10; TKR with 17, and big lift from Caleb Furst 11/6 (5/6 FT's)
Teamwise - just 3 turnovers and won the glass 34-31.
Very solid 2nd half to take control tonight.
Oh should have added:Smith joining the 1000 points, 500 assists and 400 rebounds club….second player to ever do it at Purdue….hes only halfway through his junior year.
Not bad for a lowly rated recruit from Westfield 😉
This was a good win in a lot of ways in how the game played out. This is a confidence builder in how things played out in a Purdue team that maybe was a bit more unsure than the recent past. Game was physical early and close. Fouls on Trey and then Caleb a bit with Braden’s stroke off a bit, but they hung in there and the refs found their pea and then shots other than Fletch started to fall. I like CJ and Caleb starting53-34 second half for the Boilers, well done to secure the first road win of the season. 81-61 final for Purdue.
And Bruce Parkinson who knows Dustin well is happy to see Braden join himSmith joining the 1000 points, 500 assists and 400 rebounds club….second player to ever do it at Purdue….hes only halfway through his junior year.

Who is the other purdue player with 1000 points 500 assists and 400 rebs?
AgreedOther than Alabama, best I've seen them in embracing the physicality.....hopefully they keep that up, TJ - going to need it.

Have been saying for a bit he’s the best PG to ever come through PurdueFavorite boiler ever

The stars are evident and great contribution by Furst, but also… Kudos to Colvin and Heide for playing better, especially 9 boards. I got on them for 1 board last game. They also had 4 assists, 2 steals and 5 points. Colvin had the short dribble and pull up two we thought was there if the three was not falling.
.
Yeah I kept thinking “man, Minny is soooo bad”. We didn’t execute well first half but Minnesota was even worse. Parker Fox (7th year senior who was in same class as Sasha, wheeler, Haarms and Nojel) had some reeeeeeaalllllly bad turnovers and decision making. All road wins are good wins. But Braden makes any game winnable. An amazing player. B10 player of the week given the last 2 games imo.
Love that Furst got going and C & H found a way to help off the bench. MN, even at the Barn in my opinion is not a good team. They look like they might be the cellar dweller of the B10 this year.
Loyer was so fun to watch last night. He was just having fun and is just a crazy good shooter. But that last shot was nuts.
That 2nd half might have been our best offensive half of the year. Everything was clicking.. Even if it was vs MN, it was still a 53 PT half on the road in the B10....no small feat.
Agree, which makes what Illinois did all the more impressive - Fighting Illini hung 64 of its 109 in the second half @ Oregon.
Combes and Fighter of the Nightman have to be smiling today.....
Gotta hand it to the Illinois coach. He seems to be a master at bringing in the right players.....portal or recruiting. Then after getting them to IL, putting the pieces together and making very good teams out of his pieces. Yet to see a great team, maybe this one is it??
