Painter era - they didn't have enough choices to do a poll from 1980.

1. Hummel 2. Midwestern Cowboy.

Dakota was so horrifically underrated it still hurts me. It saddens me he was also left off this list. I will not sleep tonight.

I went with Hummel and Carsen. Robbie was everything you could want in a college player and Carsen was Painters most unique player
 
Kramer and Carsen for me. Kramer personified what I think of as a Boilermaker. Smart, tough, competitive, willing to lay it on the line...he would have been an amazing Navy Seal or Green Beret.
 
Hard to pick. Seems unfair to select only 2. Hopefully this list continues to grow in the upcoming years

For how dominant he was, I’m surprised at the relative few number of votes for Johnson.
 
This poll has 41 fewer votes than the other poll. I expected this one to be more popular.
