I agree on PSU and ND games. I'd take TX over clemson in 1st round. OSU and TN could be a really close game.

It kinda suks to be an IU alumni. They finally get to play in a bowl game. And rather than spending a week in Florida or Texas or California or some nice exotic location, they get stuck going to South Bend. I doubt any of them is contacting their travel agent to arrange for a vacation to south bend.

I can attend the IU game against Georgia. New Orleans is beautiful this time of year.

Would you rather sit home on your backside WISHING you were going to your school's game, or would you be happy to see touchdown Jesus? Right now, there are thousands of Purdue Boilers who would gladly take a game in South Bend. And though I'm no longer an IU fan, my guess is many I know will be there with bells on. Props to IU's AD for doing the right thing. And let's hope PU got it right this time and that next year, there's a bowl for the Boilers.

And frankly neither team should be in the playoffs. ND lost .. at home.. to NIU and Indinia played one team with a pulse and aside from a couple garbage-ish TDs, basically got crushed.

So realistically whichever team moves on stands a good chance of getting curb stomped in the next round. ND is less likely to get blown out I would say as opposed to indinia.

First, no surprise to me. Notre Dame beat Purdue much worse than IU if all things are considered other than the score when the players quit the latter part of the season and ND backing off a bit the second half against Purdue. That said, the team that had IU logo was significantly better than previous years in the few games I was able to catch. We know the schedule was weak and their record would "probably" not be as good with a more difficult schedule, but they beat the teams that were on the schedule...and beat many BAD. The team had more discipline it appeared to me overall and was solid on both sides of the ball. This was a good team. How good we will never know, but significantly better than IU teams of the last few decades. They have what appears to be a good coach and it should improve IU football for the future.

Purdue looks to have righted the ship relative to coaching, but the proof will be in a couple of years when established a bit.

Go tell the nfl that home games in the playoffs are bad, no they’re the reward for being a higher seed. And the bowls have been roadkill for nearly 20 years aside from the 4 that rotated the national title game, just leave bowls on the roadside where they belong as college football enters a new era
