PJ Fleck update

I hear a lot of people say that but you are wrong. There are many young kids who buy into history and tradition. How do you think Notre Dame keeps getting good recruits? It's not because of the location. It's not because of what they've done lately. Yes, they do have a good locker room but I bet all of those national titles and Heismans from long ago matter to the recruits a bit more.
Yes NATIONAL TITLES AND HEISMANS.....

Over the past couple days it seems clear Fleck will not be going to Oregon, they seem to be looking for a more proven P5 coach that has a track record in a power league.

So Oregon staff is Smarter than MB, go figure.

The rhetoric may not but Drew Brees, Ryan Kerrigan, and Kawann Short are more than enough proof that Purdue can get you to the NFL and set you up to make big money there. That is what the high-end guys are most concerned with, probably above winning in most cases. Just have to have a coach that can sell it and then deliver.
Plus if those NFLers don't impress kids, we can always tell them we had Ryan O'Malley as our QB at one time, and about his legendary TD vs MSU.

I was for Fleck, but after looking at it more, I like Brohm more, not that I'd be upset with Fleck if that is who we end up with. I think Brohm has a better system and fear Fleck got lucky with a QB he inherited. I know they keep talking about their running backs, but without a QB who's had a stellar completion percentage for the past three years, it would be far easier to stack the box and take away their running game, so the backs are benefiting from the QB.

Yeah, Brohm has only had one QB too, but just seems he may have a better unique enough system, plus will be a lot of fun to watch when it's working and his system should help us in recruiting as it would be fun to play in.

So I was Fleck #1 and Brohm #2, but I've switched and now Brohm #1 and Fleck #2. Brohm just seems to be more substance and Fleck more rah-rah.

Actually, Brohm has a first year starter QB this year. Even more to your point. Plus he's from the the Petrino coaching tree, as opposed to Fleck who's from the Tressel tree.

I like Brohm better because he played QB! I think a coach who actually played QB is what we need at the cradle. I think he would have a tremendous grasp of what is going on in the offense and how to fix it. Get him a good DC and we can start digging out of the hole.
