Sorry, but this is exactly the kind of post that just makes me cringe, so I am going to be fairly direct here. First, to paint a really gloomy picture, you post that Carson Edwards is the only addition to the team. Didn't we have a couple kids come off red-shirts too? Oh wait, that doesn't fit your agenda very well.

Second: Exactly how many 2017 targets did we whiff on? Your statement indicates we "whiffed" on all of out 2017 targets. I see where 2-3 kids have committed to other schools, right? Aren't there any other kids that might be considered our 2017 targets? Wow! Step away from the keyboard and eat a Snickers, will ya?

Did you miss the "so far" in my post about whiffing on 2017 recruits? I cringe when that happens. Of course I'm still hopeful. We just haven't got any of those kids ... YET.

I said "I love Carsen as our entire 2016 class." Are Basil and Spike a part of that class?

Finally, I said, "We have enough good kids coming back -- and maturing -- that with just adding Carsen, I still think we will be just fine." That's gloomy?

I love your posts, Mathboy. We are both stone Purdue fans. So I have an "agenda," you don't?

If a player has already sat out a season (in White's case, missing most of last season was related to his abdominal surgery done prior to the start of it), which is basically what he did, I would think he would have been granted a medical redshirt: I just haven't yet seen it verified in articles related to his transfer. If he was already granted a medical redshirt, then I wouldn't think that he would have to sit out a second-straight season now that he has decided to transfer.
Totally different rule. Sitting when you transfer has been a rule for decades. There are few exceptions, but one of them is not whether you played at the school where you started.

You must not be very adept at reading through threads.
