I can honestly say that I've never witnessed a coach with as good a record as CMP has, that is more flawed coaching in close games. He coaches not to lose rather than win.
That said...I couldn't care less about winning the B1G. Painter needs to take his team SOMEWHERE (besides early losses that shouldn't happen) in the tournament to reclaim my faith in him which was lost a couple years ago.
Is he a good coach? Yes. Is he a great coach? No...the great ones win the big games AND the ones they're supposed to.
