And to compound the issue, have you noticed a reluctance of the press to mention “Black suspect” in describing a perp search. Just this morning on Fox Business it took them a long time to mention the perp who shot people at the Bronx subway? Funny how they can give a description that perp was wearing a uniform with gas mask but not say Black until later. How should the public help identifying the perp on the lose if they don’t know what to look for?

I heard he was a straight white male in blackface. Possibility that he is unvaccinated. Rumored to be a Trump supporter. Gonna stay glued to MSNBC to see what more info comes out, I’ll keep everyone in the loop

Oh ok so police should always shoot first in all situations where something is in question. Especially if they bring their own AR-15 from home etched with the phrase "You're ****ed" to commit the murder.

How about just do what the officer says? Was the officer perfect, no, however, he shouldn’t lose his job over it. Huge deal was made over this, with domestic abuse being like it is, its hard to blame the cop. Fights and arguement happen, hopefully all move on from this, another thing that divides America.

not always, but many people in the United States simply do not understand how to deal with police. I saw this for years in the residence halls. when the police show up, it isn't an opportunity to start an open dialogue or attempt to compromise with the police officer. shut up and do exactly as they say, or they will assume you are a threat (even if you are not).

I was a Staff Resident for two years, so pretty much any time the police were called, I was there dealing with them. I had a good relationship with them as well going back to my freshman year - our faculty fellows were two Purdue police officers that I developed a good relationship with - then worked with them my two years as an RA and two years as a SR.
