Out of 13 teams, the Mid-Eastern doesn't have one team .500 or better. Coppin St. wins the prize at 0-17. Don't think I've ever seen that. Must be loading up on the cash at Duke and others. Silver lining is that they start playing each other in conference play now.

Wait, I'll take that back. The Southwestern Athletic has all ten teams below .500. Miss.Valley St is 0-15. How depressing.

Glad I can cheer for a winning bball team, and now a fball team. Boiler Up!

This just goes on to support what another poster and I were discussing about kids going to D1 programs that are like that versus a very good D2 program where they would win, compete for conference championships, and possibly make the National Tourney...instead they get the D1 scholarship offer stars in their eyes and forget about what may be the best for them personally/academically.

Which kids on these teams should be playing D2 and which kids have stars in their eyes?

What are these schools supposed to do? Accept walk on players only!

The SWAC currently rates last in KenPom, although the MEAC is a close 2nd. None of the other 30 conferences are really even close to them. The A-Sun is the 3rd worst, but they have a pair of top 150 teams. The SWAC and MEAC have a combined 1 team in the top 200 (and only two other teams better than 250).

Interestingly the last time those 2 conferences didn't finish in the bottom 2 in KenPom was the 2013-14 season when the SWAC was last, followed by the Great West Conference, and then the MEAC. They are basically populated by all the body bag games that big name teams use to fill out their home schedule and get their fans pissed off by tanking their RPI along the way.
