OT: Interesting fashion trend in basketball

Kids wear compression leggings today,. Not sure what the big deal is, pretty sure cline wore 1 leg last year.
keeps the legs warm, loose. Woulda killed for these in high school back in the early/mid 80s. Played in some crackerjack box gyms in the rural areas that kept the thermostat set at 58F all winter.
Kobe did sport these, just not so obvious...wasn't wearing red.

A couple years ago, I started playing basketball after a few years off... But at first I had to limit myself to playing twice a week because my shin splints were so bad. It's partly due to genetics, partly due to being out of shape, and partly due to poor running form. In any case, I started wearing knee-high compression socks, and they made all the difference in the world. Those, coupled with lots of foam-rolling, made it possible for me to play every day.
