Yeah, I know this isn't a revelation for some of you but if you ever get a chance, you really need to attend the Par 3 contest on Wednesday at Augusta National. I was down there Monday thru Wednesday and yesterday may have been the coolest sporting even I've ever experienced (even better than the final round of the Ryder Cup).

And while I wasn't sure I'd ever endure a live sports moment better than Brees to Morales, I think I just beat it. Rather than follow certain groups, we set up between the 3rd green and 4th tee so we could see as many players as possible.

It was very cool to see Crenshaw, Player and Nicklaus all birdie the third hole. But it was amazing to be standing about 15 yards away from Jack when he hit his first ever Hole in One at either the Masters or the Par 3 contest. Much like when Brees pass to Morales that seemed to hang in the air forever, Nicklaus' ball took forever to roll into the hole. He was of course gracious and enthusiastic while the crowd was going nuts. And one of the coolest thing was seeing Rory McIlroy and his playing partners standing on the 3rd green clapping along with the rest of us and shaking Jack's hand as he walked toward the 4th green.

I'll be sharing this story for the rest of my life. Way cool.

And even if that didn't happen, there were plenty of highlights in the day. Players were hamming it up with the crowd. Some had their kids with them (and even putt for them). And there were some pretty impressive wives and girlfriends as well.
