Like some on this board, Hillary fully embraced the mantra that all white people are inherently racist. It became such a mainstream leftist idea that she even publicly professed it. Well, it turns out that white people don’t like being called racists every second of the day. White people don't like being blamed for everything wrong with this country. It seems that guilt, shame, and self-loathing are not the best ways to generate electoral turnout. Evidently, “Repent, you bigots!” is not the most effective rallying cry.

On a related note, it’s not true that all white people are racist. You can’t take some random sin or vice and assign it to an entire group of people based solely on their skin color. In fact, do you know what it’s called when you accuse everyone in a certain racial group of possessing some negative characteristic? Racism, by definition.

Hillary seems to want to lump people into categories--a socialist mindset, to be sure, and which when the categories are divided by race, is by definition a racist mindset.

But people are individuals. When a white female cop in Oklahoma killed a black man a few months ago, she turned to the media and said "Maybe I can, by speaking directly to white people, say, look, this is not who we are."

No shit, Hillary, "we" already knew that. "We" didn't kill that black man. Some random cop did. That wasn't me. That was her. Get it?? (Doubt it.)

And yes the cop was not only white but also a woman. So why didn't she say, "Maybe I can, by speaking directly to women, say, look, this is not who we are"?

I don't know the answer to that, can't read her mind. But yeah, people of any group don't like being associated with the ills of the rest of the group. Americans don't like socialist mindsets, because we're a nation of individuals, and we cherish that. It's a nuance that separates us from Europe, from Japan, and from most of the developed world. And yes I generally agree that Hillary didn't do herself any favors in this regard.
