Ever heard black people from the UK speak? I remember Lennox Lewis being interviewed vs football and basketball players here .
From a black person's point of view, it is not a big deal per se as folks who have said seem to mean well. Perhaps as a compliment. However, it is somewhat offensive. Almost as if it is rare that a black can speak well.
Even within the black community, throughout the years when a black person hears another black person speak well, some would say that they are talking "white".

Police brutality against blacks is a myth spewed by liberals, lefties and Dems in order to cause racial division.

I had a black secretary while in our workplace spoke extremely well. What was strange while talking to her family and friends on the phone from Gary, she spoke ghetto. It was amazing how she could shift gears depending on her audience.
I don't think you mean it this way, but this is a good example of what I posted about earlier. You said in some circumstances, she speaks "well" and in other circumstances, she speaks "ghetto." There's an implied judgement in there that speaking "ghetto" is NOT speaking "well." In realty, she is just fluent in two different versions of the language and is able to code-switch. One is not superior to the other, they just have different uses. It's no different than someone speaking English in public and another language in the home.
Can you call them that when their actual actions of their founders has shown them to be extreme capitalist?
The amount that have profited off the sheep is truly amazing. Almost amazing as their lack of accounting skills, it's not that hard to find a half way competent CPA.

This is the crux of the matter. It’s meant as a compliment. Are blacks so jaded that they perceive compliments as always being back-handed? They can’t take what someone says at face value?
That's what I'm talking about with the Jan 6 woman that was shot. According to your logic, the cop was justified in shooting her as she was clearly committing the crime at that time.
You still the point as usual. No one is disputing the fact that the black men killed by police were committing crimes. That does not justify the cops using brutality against them. Plant evidence. Beat confessions out of etc.
Now that is funny. You are absolutely correct. That is how some of us roll. We can speak professionally when need to. And speak with an urban vernacular, as opposed to ghetto if you don't mind, with friends and family.
First, I’m not religious. But the real problem at play in this situation is that members of a Catholic Institution are donning shirts supporting an organization whose stated principles are antithetical to the Catholic faith.
If somebody tells me they are a Marxist I take them at their word and the tenants of Marxism require the destruction of organized religion as it’s a bulwark against the State, as is the family structure, which is why a principle of BLM organization is the destruction of the western nuclear family. These 2 structures which compete with the State for the allegiance of the individual. This is not a critique of BLM, rather that of St. Peter’s. I’m just rare (it seems) that I accept them for what they tell me they are.
Unfortunately, most people send their kids to Catholic schools (at all levels) thinking they are run by Catholics. But that’s no longer the case. And some that are still, are more interest in being seen as with the Zeitgeist, rather than the difficult road of being principled.

If I'm interviewing someone for a professional, white collar job, they better damn well speak well.
They better speak proper English with no ebonics, ghetto or whatever you want to call it. If they do speak poor English, that resume immediately goes in the "No" pile.
The fewer crimes you commit, the lest you have to deal with law enforcement. The more crimes you commit, the more you deal with LE and the greater the liklihood of a bad outcome. Especially for violent felons like Floyd.
are you in a position where you have to hire and fire people? I am. The people I hire are white collar, college educated professionals. There's a certain way you act and speak when you're in that type of career position.
