What has Pearl done? He cheats and gets fired for it everywhere he goes. He cheated at Tennessee and got fired for it. Then he was let off easy when Chuck Person was his associate head coach at Auburn and was in the middle of the FBI investigation just four years ago. All he does is cheat. And once the NCAA puts guardrails on NIL and makes it so you actually have to earn NIL money and report it and not just have boosters pay kids directly, he and others will cheat again.

Sampson’s teams remind me of Keady’s Purdue teams, they play great defense and really don’t have NBA type of talent. No doubt what Sampson did was wrong, however, I wouldn’t call his charges nowhere near what others have done, he called recruits during a dead period, the crap going on during that time period was teams doing much worse than that. Glad Duke to the L, hope Houston can win it on Monday, think Florida takes it though.

I don't expect the talking heads to dwell on it, or call the coaches out constantly. However, they should at least mention it occasionally. Instead, they slobber all over them and never mention their past. Acting like Pearl and Sampson are pillars of the coaching profession without mentioning the whole resume is disingenuous.

Hall of Fame Football Coach, Sweet Lou Holtz, has a history of schools he left just before they were put on probation. Four of the six schools that he was the Head Coach at were cited by the NCAA for illegal deeds when he was the Head Man!
