Looking at these four schools, they've all been to the top of the mountain, and most will probably see the apex again at some point.
In the opinions of those who post here, what would it take for Purdue to join that elite group and would the Alumni with the money it would take be willing to spend to get the program to that level?
All four of those schools have boosters who spend gazillions to make their school something special, from the players they recruit, to the coaches they hire, to the facilities.
What is the REAL reason Purdue isn't there right now, and what is the reason for trying to compete with a few three star but mostly two star players and in my opinion, falsely expecting a high level of success.
In no way will I knock these kids because I know they all want to succeed, but we all know with no more talent than has been brought in, there's no chance for that to happen.
My opinion, it all starts with money. Money to hire the best coach, money to hire the best trainers, money to improve an old and tired stadium, money for promotion, and yes...money to wine and dine players and their parents.
