New Starting Lineup

Edey, Gillis, Newman, Loyer, Smith…Jenkins 6th man playing 20-25 minutes a game, Renn 7th man spelling Edey and Gillis, Morton 8 and Furst 9, the last two need at most to be 10-12 minute a game players right now. I like the both of them but although rotation players they need to be back of rotation players.

Was just thinking the same about Furst.......when he's in....no more outside shots...Period....keep him under the basket for rebounds and put backs!
Edey 30-32 minutes, no need for 40 minutes, Renn and Furst if need be can eat up 8-10 minutes.

Loyer definitely needs to be coming off the bench. His strength will always be his outside shooting. He is not going to be beat people to the rim or be the best defender.

However, he is in a tremendous shooting slump for several games now, including missing his FTs now too. He is hitting a wall, and it is showing. Jenkins has gone to the opposite side of the spectrum, and he is playing his best basketball of the season in the last 3 weeks. He definitely deserves the start over Loyer at this point.

Keep Jenkins off the bench, he thrives with that. But unless Loyer suddenly lights it up he should play more minutes, including against the inevitable end of game press if Purdue is leading.

This is what I think, start Fletch but play Jenkins more minutes.

The problem with starting Smith and Jenkins is the demand that one of them needs to be on the floor at all times. The player rotations aren't as easy if you start them both.

Unfortunately, Furst has regressed. I can't remember the last time he hit a 3.

NOTE: If Edey can go 40mins let him play all 40.
We all need to forget the last time Caleb made a 3 because he's never going to shoot one again if logic applies.
He's not a 4, give it up. Make him backup center and TKR becomes a 4 where he belongs.
