New NCAA scholie limit is 25

Maybe they need a salary cap on coaches salaries also.
All for this! Especially since the highest paid gov't employee in nearly every state (sometimes by a factor of 10+ over the next highest paid) is a coach (i.e. the students/tax payers subsidize some of these arms-race salaries, example IU)

Ignoring the fact that many people have a philosophical aversion to trying to artificially limit what a person can earn in a free market, the "Football Haves" will never agree to anything designed to level the playing field. The college athletics landscape for the foreseeable future is an arms race and the only decision is to participate or be consigned to the cellar. Purdue's president and former AD ignored this and the Boilermakers are paying the price. Things appear to be changing in that regard, but it will take a few years to fully catch backup. Understand that Purdue (and Indiana) will have to find new revenue streams and spend like mad to have any hope of being competitive because OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Nebraska, etc... are not going to slow down because the Boilers, Hoosiers, Wildcats, etc... are having a tough time keeping up. That's exactly how they want it.

th

That is so true. I don't like it, but that's the reality.
